What's the Therma-MaxTM
|
|
Therma-MaxTM shows a rebersible transition between flocculation and dispersion
at around the critical temperature because thermo-responsive polymer with
property to reversibly disperse and aggregate therough temperature change
has been immobilized on the surface of magnetic nano particle. Therma-MaxTM
technology has separation of magnetic nano particles that was difficultly
separated by a magnet become possible only by a little change of temperature.
Comparing with currently used micron sized magnetic beads, Therma-MaxTM has
excellent molecule recognizing ability because of the small particle diameter
(100nm). Therefore, handling time and yielding for separating target materials
are greatly improved.
Therma-MaxTM products include LCST type series magnetically separated by
heating and UCST type series magnetically separated by cooling because
of different kinds of thermo-responsive polymers. |
